While it is long, stained glass has a shelf life. After about 60-70 years a stained glass panel may need repairs to some solder joints and a re-cementing. When a panel is 90-100 years old the lead itself begins to breakdown and it is time for a full restoration.
Depending on the extent of damage to your stained glass piece I might recommend an on-site repair, a de-installation and localized repair, or a full restoration. There on many factors that go into which of these treatments is most appropriate which is why I ask for good quality photos and often an in-person estimate before I give a quote. I charge $20 for an estimate which is deductible from the final cost of the job. If you are able to safely remove the stained glass yourself, it would reduce the cost of the job.
